Stifado is a short film by Marios Glöckner and the final project I worked on for my bachelor’s in Media Technology. I was assistant director and am credited as co-producer.
If you’ve never been on a film set: the assistant director is the person who keeps the day moving. Directors think about the shot; the AD thinks about the next shot, the one after that, the lunch break, the sun going down at 18:42, and whether we still have the location after six. It’s the least glamorous job on set and possibly the most educational. Everything I know about planning a shoot I learned by being the person who has to say “we’re losing the light.”
